There always seems to be a lot of debate over where the best and worse places are to live in the UK, but it’s not an easy question to answer. It all depends on what people want from where they live. Do they want the hustle and bustle of the city or the low-key country life with little/no stress?

What are the health benefits of living in Cornwall?
Below, we look at the different health benefits that can come from living in Cornwall; one of the most popular holiday destinations in England and the UK.
A reduction in stress
It’s been proven that living by the sea can have a massive influence on your lifestyle, contributing to better, more positive attitudes towards life.
Stress can literally be killer, so it’s important to reduce it as much as you can. Waking up near the coast can be extremely calming, especially if you can hear the waves rolling in and out. The calmer the feeling, the lower the stress levels; helping to improve your health from a mental point-of-view.
Improved physical activity
Living near the coast can encourage you to get more physically active, or even just to go outside for a walk. When the view is as good as the Cornish coastline, who wouldn’t want to go outside everyday?
Cornwall is home to some stunning cycle routes, National Trust Walks and has miles of beaches for swimming and surfing!
Better skin
Cornwall has natural ingredients everywhere you look. Seaweed face masks, sea salt body scrubs, flower moisturisers and sand soaps are just a few of the skin remedies made with natural ingredients that you can find in Cornwall.
No more feeling lonely
A lot of people have stated that they feel lonely when surrounded by lots of people in a large city. Cornwall, on the other hand, is renowned for its welcoming communities, even in small villages. It’s hard to feel lonely when every face is a friendly one, offering support when you need it and helping you through the darkest of days.
Fresher air
Combine less pollution with the coastal breeze and you are met with the freshest air around.
You probably won’t feel the effects whilst breathing, but you’ll notice it in the long-run when you haven’t been breathing in the polluted city air for months and months.
Cornwall comes with plenty of health benefits, whether you choose to utilise them or not is entirely up to you. All we know is, Cornwall is one of the places to be in 2018!
